In 2024, China's total power generation reached 1,008.69 billion kWh, accounting for 30% of the global total. Thermal power accounted for about 62% of China's total power generation, of which nearly 90% was coal-fired power. Coal-fired power units that meet the ultra-low emission limits account for 94% of the total installed capacity of coal-fired power in the country, providing a reference for the environmental protection development of the global thermal power industry.
